The theoretical work of Grandmaster Viorel Bologan is devoted to the Rossolimo system in Sicilian defense (1.e4 c5 2.Kf3 Kc6 3.Cb5). This scheme, long considered "secondary," harmless for Black has a deep positional basis, thanks to which it not only proved its right to exist, but also moved the principled 3.d4 in the repertoire of many elite grandmasters.
