The prerequisites for the formation of multifunctional public complexes in modern conditions are analyzed. The main functional, planning and architectural and artistic issues of architectural design are considered, taking into account the conditions of placement in urban development and rational zoning of the site. The principles of structural construction are described and recommendations are given for determining the composition, choosing the methods of functional-planning, spatial, compositional solutions of multifunctional public complexes of various types.
