The proposed work sets out the basic information about the structure and operation of aeronautical engines in their modern state, with which the requirements for these engines are initially given, the most famous types of them are described from the indicated power volumes, size and weight, then as much as possible with a variety of types of aeronautical engines - a general description of them has been made and the main principles of engine testing are finally set out.
