The artistic and geographical book "On Land at Sea" is very close in its subject to the books already known to readers of the series "Travels. Adventures. Fiction." The book contains a wide variety of works: here are adventure stories from the life of Soviet sea border guards in the Kuril Islands and a Russian revolutionary who came to Hawaii, the action in which unfolds against a wide geographical background; here and several science fiction stories by Soviet and foreign authors; and artistic miniatures telling about the life of animals and birds; and journalistic articles; and finally, geographical travel essays about the notable places of the Soviet Union and some foreign countries.
