The book sets out the results of a deep and comprehensive study of the existence and activities of charitable institutions that were under the auspices of members of the Imperial family in the period XIX - early XX centuries. Charitable departments, committees, societies and trustee institutions that were part of them provided wide support to various categories of those in need, provided quite perfect social assistance at that time.
