The publication is a scientific reconstruction of the failed book by V.V. Rozanov "Literary Exiles" dedicated to K.N. Leontiev, the preparation of which for publication was interrupted in 1915, resumed and remained incomplete in 1918. This included: Leontiev's letters to Rozanov; Rozanov's introductory article and notes to them as he intended to publish them in 1918 in the book "Literary Exiles"; bilateral correspondence between Rozanov and Leontyev from their archives; a complete corpus of Rozanov's articles on Leontiev with comments; articles by contemporary critics about Leontief and his notes of a polemical nature to them, which he forwarded to Rozanov shortly before his death; a notebook of unfinished sketches for Leontiev's articles, also sent by him to Rozanov.
