A wonderful book by the outstanding Russian historian A.G. Kuzmin (1928-2004), professor at Moscow State Pedagogical University. A general collection of articles on historical topics, partly published in various publications during the author's lifetime. Both little-known political processes in the ancient Slavic Lands and the problems of the newest era of Russia are covered, their relationship is analyzed. Much attention is paid to the national characteristics of the Eastern Slavs, geopolitical alliances and conflicts in which the Russian Slavs take part. A separate chapter is devoted to the fight against historical falsifications. Kuzmin urges to preserve the historical truth, and his work is obligatory for the attention of all those interested in the history of the Russian people and their role in world politics.
