A popular science essay dedicated to the history of the village of Nikolaevka, Popasnyansky district, Lugansk region, is presented to your attention. Based on the analysis of documentary evidence, monuments of material culture, ethnographic studies conducted on the ground, hitherto unexplored pages from the history of the Luhansk region are recreated.
