The book is devoted to a real literary problem - the possibility of an adequate transfer of ideas, images and integral works to another sociocultural space. It examines the cultural mechanisms with which literary texts created at the "crossroads" of Russian and German cultures of the late XVII - early XX centuries interact; the role of cultural intermediaries-writers in the formation of the consciousness of "alien" culture and the assimilation of "alien" religious and philosophical ideas.
