Treatise of the famous neoplatonist of the 5th century AD Proclus of Lycia "The Beginning of Physics" for a long time did not attract the due attention that he himself more than deserves. Despite the fact that the treatise is a summary of the Aristotelian doctrine of movement, its genre seems very unusual for antiquity. No one except Proclus tried to present the physical teachings of peripatetics in the form of a system of proof-accompanied theorems. The only work with which the "Beginnings of Physics" could be correlated is the famous "Beginnings" of Euclid.
