In 1943, the battles on the Soviet-German front were the most fierce. The German command sought to re-capture the strategic initiative. The Battle of Kursk was supposed to solve this problem. Fulfilling the tasks of the Headquarters of the Supreme High Command, Soviet military intelligence carried out hundreds of secret operations, trying to timely reveal the plans of Hitler and his generals. Some operations of military scouts are described in this book. Some of them ended tragically. Others created the necessary conditions for the defeat of selected German troops on the Kursk Bulge, while others helped I.V. Stalin win difficult diplomatic negotiations with F. Roosevelt and W. Churchill, which took place in Tehran and had a major impact on the further course of World War II.
