The book includes a translation of two tragedies of Euripides, which were not included in the lifetime edition of the translations of Innokenty Annensky, published by the publishing house of M. and S. Sabashnikov, as well as unpublished studies of Annensky himself about Euripides. This volume is a double literary monument, for the first time in Russian representing the correct publication of two dramas ("Trojans" and "Begging") of the great ancient Greek tragedy and which is a wonderful document of the poetic and translation evolution of the largest Russian poet at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries.
