"This book is of interest to the Soviet reader, because its appearance testifies to the desire of individual English historians to move away from the traditional interpretation of the events of the English revolution of the 17th century, characteristic of bourgeois historical science, and an attempt on the part of these progressive historians to assimilate Marxist scientific methodology.
