In a short book entitled "Leonardo da Vinci and the Memory of His Childhood," Freud delineated the "psychobiography" of the great artist, scientist and inventor as the quintessential Renaissance man. Freud began researching the personality of Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) in the fall of 1909 and published it in May 1910.
