The book gives a historical overview of domestic gliders from the inception of practical gliding in Russia to the present day. Features of wooden, metal and modern plastic glider designs are described. The issues of their design, production and flight tests are considered. Descriptions of sport, experimental and amphibious transport gliders are given.
