The proposed book explores a complex of problems of the history of the ancestors of the Turkmen people. A significant place in the monograph is occupied by the problems of the socio-economic system and the military-political history of the Oguzes and Turkmens. A special chapter of the monograph is devoted to the origin of the Seljukids and the Seljuk movement of the 10th-11th centuries. An essay on the history of the state of the Syrdarya Oguzes, which played an important role in the history of Central Asia and Eastern Europe, is given. The final chapter of the monograph is devoted to the historical fate of the Oguzes and Turkmens as part of the Seljukid state and after the Mongol invasion of Central Asia.
