The textbook is intended for students of humanitarian non-linguistic higher educational institutions. The topics of 15 lessons are diverse: humanities (psychology, philosophy, sociology, history), religion, traditions and customs of peoples of different countries, culture, literature, painting, theater, music, cinema, architecture, etc. Phonetic and grammatical exercises are included in the manual. Particular attention is paid to work on the intonation and melody of English speech. Tasks include not only traditional types of exercises, but also a large number of creative exercises, which is facilitated by interesting illustrative material.
