Khazars - one of the most mysterious peoples of the early Middle Ages. Among scientists, there is even a debate about who to call this word the Khazars did not leave shards that would allow them to be identified, and the burials, which can be considered Khazar with confidence, refer only to the early period of the existence of their state. It is believed that in the multinational Khazar Khaganate during the last century and a half of its short history there were almost no ethnic Khazars. The same few who did live there, perhaps professing Judaism, although they were probably not Jews, but Turks. In this book, written on the basis of medieval sources of modern historical works and his own archaeological experience, the writer Oleg Ivik and archaeologist Vladimir Klyuchnikov collected almost everything that is known about the Khazars.
