The first meeting of philosophy and Christianity is represented by the famous speech of the Apostle Paul in the Areopagus in the face of the Athenians. There is something symbolic about this, taking into account both the place and the topics covered in this speech: God, the Providence of Peace and, most importantly, the bodily resurrection. And it was this last point that was able to prevent any further exchange between the two cultures. But what is relevant for the original Christianity, is it equally valid for subsequent centuries? And the present study is devoted to these centuries. The essence of the problem remains unchanged: to what extent can we talk about the Hellenization of early Christianity, on the one hand, and about the preservation of the peculiarities of a religion originating from Judaism, on the other? "The discussion should not focus on the fact of Hellenization, but rather on the method and measure with which it manifested itself."
