The second edition of the book "From the Volga to the Baltic" is published 10 years after the first, taking into account the data of modern military-historical literature, including the memoirs of Marshals of the Soviet Union I.Kh. Baghramyan, A.M. Vasilevsky, N.I. Krylov and other prominent military figures who knew the combat work of the 3rd Guards mechanical corps. When preparing a new edition, the author made a number of clarifications and additions to the text of the book. In the second edition, as in the first, the exploits of not all the soldiers who fought in the ranks of the corps are covered. Fully aware of that. at the same time, the author wanted to make his own contribution to the creation of the history of the guards formation. At the same time, over a thousand heroic participants in his combat path were noted.
