The written has no purpose to teach, insist, dictate. Dissonance and discomfort in connection with what was written are understandable - the book is deeply countercultural. Not only Russian, but all world art, cradles, flatters, dulls. Prepares for death. But then, in its own forerunner, absolutely any culture or art, any complex cardinal changes, annoy. This is development. And development, in turn, is life. Ongoing war. Continuous movement in goal. But, to continue to live without achieving your goal is cowardice. The real courage is to live - when you need to live, and die - when you need to die. A major is an informed choice whether to live or die. A major is an enemy whose benefit is greater than that of a friend. A major is a birth that is far from the affection beloved by humanity.
