The book highlights the main types of machining by cutting modern structural steels, heat-resistant and titanium alloys with blade tools: turning, planing, drilling, milling, pulling, cutting blanks and cutting slots; formulas are presented that allow to quickly perform calculations and solve practical problems of optimal selection of cutting modes for these materials depending on their physical and mechanical characteristics obtained as a result of static tests of metals, taking into account their hardening and changed cutting conditions (structure and properties of metals, heat treatment, cutting modes, geometric parameters of the cutting part and tool wear, etc.).
