Assuming the reader has some, at least vaguely learned or half-forgotten information, the book seeks to refresh and clarify them by analyzing a number of mechanical tasks that are curious in one respect or another. The book does not claim to exhaust all departments of mechanics and a comprehensive study of some of the phenomena described in it. In each problem, the author fixes the reader's attention only on clarifying the role of a particular law of physics.
