The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of unilateral legal acts of States as a new international legal institution. The work examines the process of formation of unilateral acts, determines the role and place of this institution in the system of modern international law. A distinction is made between purely unilateral acts and other types of unilateral behavior of States, as well as the issue of their correlation with an international treaty and international legal custom.
