Raevsky - a noble family of Polish-Lithuanian origin, settled in the Grand Duchy of Moscow since 1526. The editor of the five-volume edition of the Raevsky Archive was Pyotr Mikhailovich Raevsky, who published documents and correspondence stored in the Raevsky family archive, the descendants of General Nikolai Nikolaevich Raevsky.
