"The exhibition "War and our trophies" was opened from June 24 to September 8, 1915. And it was a huge success. She immediately became popular and crowded. On Sundays and holidays, the number of its visitors reached 17-19 thousand, and during the opening of the exhibition it was visited by 560 thousand people. The responsive attitude of society to the exhibition also explains the appearance of this publication, which, in pursuit of patriotic goals, should, according to the editors and the publishing house, acquaint those who did not have the opportunity to visit the exhibition with part of our trophies and with the conditions of a real war.
