The textbook discusses the theory of opening quarry fields and the system of open development of solid mineral deposits. The role of each element of the mineral deposit development system and the relationship between its elements are clearly described. Definitions of basic concepts of geotechnology are given. The parameters of the elements of the open-pit mining system and the components of the rational development of the quarry space, which reflect new achievements in the field of open-pit mining, have been substantiated.
