The book is a collection of works by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor H.A. Khrenov and includes 25 of his articles written from the late 1990s to 2013. These articles are grouped into the sections "Culture in a Transition Situation," "Methodology for the Study of Art from a Cultural Perspective," "Questions of Historical Cultural Studies" and "Mass Forms of Art in the Context of Culture." The materials of the book represent the views and methods of analyzing the problems of the development of culture and art of the leading Russian theorist of art culture, which is H.A. Khrenov.
