The book is the most complete historical and archaeological summary of the medieval monuments of the middle reaches of the Syr Darya and Karatau. It contains a description of the topography of the hillforts, their dating, made on the basis of an archaeological scale developed on the materials of the excavations of Otrar, Botai and Kos-tobe.
