The monograph on the basis of archival and published documents, memoirs, diaries and letters of participants in the events at the modern scientific level reconstructs the course of hostilities of the turning point of the Patriotic War of 1812, which began on September 14 with Napoleon's entry into Moscow and ended on October 18 with the victorious Tarutinsky battle for Russian weapons.
