The book is dedicated to the memory of one of the largest Soviet archaeologists and historians of ancient art B.V. Farmakovsky. Most of the flocks of the collection are dedicated to Olbia, the largest ancient center of the Northern Black Sea region, the excavations of which B.V. Farmakovsky devoted many years of his life. In addition, articles were posted about other ancient centers of the Black Sea region - Bosporus, Colchis, Chersonesos.
