Janson Julius Eduardovich [15 (27) .10. 1835, Kyiv, - 31.1 (12.2). 1893, Petersburg], Russian statistician and economist, member of the statistical council of the Ministry of the Interior, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences (1892), chairman of the statistics and epidemiology department of the Russian Society for the Protection of Public Health (since 1884), member of the International Statistical Institute (since 1885) and honorary member of many Russian and foreign scientific societies.
