The Battle of Kursk is rightfully considered a turning point in the Great Patriotic War. After the crushing defeat of the Wehrmacht on Fiery Arc, the outcome of World War II was a foregone conclusion. For the first time in Russian military-historical literature, the course of fierce battles south of Prokhorovka is described in detail, by day and hour, on the basis of recently declassified documents, the process of the collapse of Operation Citadel was analyzed, as well as the main reasons for the decisive victories and local failures of the Red Army in the Battle of Kursk.
