The concept of genre in music has many interpretations. Theorists and practitioners are unanimous only in the fact that the genre (in accordance with the literal meaning of the word) is the genus (type, variety, type) of musical works. But genres are defined and classified in different ways. The designations of genres, usually represented by small single-part plays (instrumental or vocal), are widely used: romance, song, ballad, serenade, scherzo, etc.
