In a lecture delivered at the Higher School of Economics on March 18, 2014, the architect of Polish liberalization of the 1990s and one of the largest liberal politicians of the 20th century, Leszek Balcerowicz discusses the market and politics, various economic systems, technology transfer and that difficult path to democracy and the market, which has already passed the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as the states formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, including Russia, and which they have yet to go through.
