Gregory Oster's Tale with Details is the first hypertext novel for young children. The main characters of the novel are the director of the carousel and seven wooden horses, to whom the director tells fairy tales every night. One night, the director reports that all the tales are over and now he will tell the last. This is a fairy tale about the boy Fedya, who quarreled, and then reconciled with his mother. One of the horses interrupts the director and asks for details of what happened to the other characters in the tale on the same day. Funny and fascinating "details" occupy much of the novel.
