The author's journey through the deserts of Balkhash, the northern shore of Balkhash and the uninhabited islands of the lake is described. A description of nature is given, curious facts from the life of insects, reptiles, birds, animals are told. In addition, the author's unknown archaeological sites, cave paintings, ancient mounds, and the simplest astronomical structures for determining solstices and equinoxes are described.
