The book describes various methods for obtaining oxide insulation on aluminum, tantalum and many other metals, the properties of this insulation and its application. In addition to the well-known and studied methods for obtaining oxide insulation by thermal and electrochemical oxidation of metal, new methods for applying oxide films in vacuum are given.
