S. I. Chikovani is a wonderful Georgian poet, a recognized master of intense psychological lyrics, rich in philosophical generalizations. In this edition, poems and poems by Simon Chikovani are presented in translations by P. Antokolsky, B. Pasternak, A. Mezhirov, B. Akhmadulina, N. Zabolotsky, E. Evtushenko, A. Tarkovsky and others. A number of works were translated into Russian for the first time.
