The first relatively complete edition of the diary entries of the Russian and Soviet historian Yuri Vladimirovich Gauthier (1873-1943), who belonged to a brilliant galaxy of students V.O. Klyuchevsky, who devoted his life to studying the socio-economic history of Russia. The book published his daily records for 1917-1922, starting with the first entry, when the historian took up the pen, as he himself explains, "contrary to all his previous thoughts on this matter: I just did not want to write notes, no notes, no diary, because I always thought that this rubbish is written enough without me."
