The book is devoted to a controversial issue - the history of the development of field literature in Kievan Rus. Comparison of two traditions of attribution of anti-Latin Old Russian works leads to the conclusion that a critical approach to solving the issue of authorship of these works is better combined with the history of church relations between Ancient Russia and Western Europe than a traditional one.
