The book is devoted to the institution of divorce in Russian family law of the XVI-XVIII centuries. An attempt was made to bring together the legislative acts of church and secular authorities, judicial practice in divorce cases and cases of termination of marriage. The history of divorce is shown against the background of the moral and religious life of society and relations between spouses.
