Basic information on the structure and organization of installation works in the electrification of railways, on special mechanisms, machines, installation devices and tools used in the construction of contact networks and traction substations is given. Technologies of installation of power supply devices, automation and telemechanics are considered. Safety requirements for installation works are given.
