My goal was to tell the "trench truth" on behalf of those who faithfully served their country. To tell about what our warrior carried out on his own "soldier's skin" in those bloody days, about his comrades-in-arms, valiant officers who selflessly performed their military duty in sometimes inhuman conditions, about our dead comrades.
