The works of the outstanding elegiac poet of France Evarista Parni (1753-1814) are published in translations of one of the representatives of the poetry of the Silver Age Vadim Shershenevich. He worked on them in 1937-1940, fully completing the translation of the famous poem "The War of the Gods" (for the first time in Russia) and more than half of the poems of the equally famous book "Erotic Poems." Unlike the famous translators of the Guys, only Shershenevich managed to carefully preserve the shape of the original. Translations of poems (except for five) and poems, as well as the article "Pushkin - translator Guys" are published for the first time.
