Molecular statistical methods for the study of solutions are presented. Strict and model approaches to the study of systems with different nature of intermolecular interactions are highlighted: mixtures of simple liquids, solutions including polar and associated components, systems formed by particles of different sizes and shapes, polymer solutions. The issues of adsorption from solutions, the theory of micellar and liquid crystal solutions are discussed. Applied aspects of the use of molecular models of solutions are discussed.
