The proposed book is an almost unchanged reprint of rotator notebooks released in 1949, 1950 and 1952. This is a series of essays describing one side or another of Soviet reality on the basis of huge material that appeared in the non-Soviet world as a result of the German occupation of a significant part of the USSR and the subsequent wave of the so-called "new emigration."
