Book on the activities of German auxiliary cruisers on Allied communications during the Second World War. Unable to confront the British fleet in open combat, the German fleet relied on the economic suppression of the enemy by cruising against British shipping. Realizing that the British were starting a real hunt for each warship, the Germans began to use converted commercial ships as auxiliary cruisers. A total of 11 such vessels were used and the list of their achievements turned out to be more impressive than that of the battleships and cruisers of the Kriegsmarine.
