The book is devoted to the appearance and stay of the Huns on the territory of modern Ukraine in the late antique and early medieval period. On the basis of sources, the social organization, life, life, customs of Hunnic society, material culture and military art of the Huns are covered. In the process of moving west, the Huns assimilated with other tribes and appeared in a new form in the European steppes, creating in the 5th century. a large state association led by Attila. The state of the Huns became the first major tribal association of nomads formed in Eastern Europe. It was the Huns who laid the foundations for the unification of Turkic ethnic groups. They were replaced in the steppes of the Black Sea region and Podunavye from the east by saragurs, onogurs, urogs, savirs, avars and the like.
