The famous medieval treatise "The Hammer of the Witches" was written at the end of the 15th century by Dominican theologians J. Sprenger and G. Institoris. This work combined the experience of the struggle of the Inquisition with numerous heresies, becoming the most significant document of that time. The book is supplemented with materials from popular science works of the second half of the 19th century - in particular, about how they fought against sorcerers and witches in Russia.
